Forum: faqs Subject: Questions about Wayback Crawlers

I wanted to ask about the wayback crawlers - recently I entered a URL of a soon to be deleted site and noticed that there was no archive of it. I got a message, something attune to: "No current data but Wayback will archive this page in the coming months". I was wondering, does simply searching a URL in the Wayback Machine search engine prompt the crawlers to archive the site at that address?

On another note: I presume that, at least in some countries, there must be an issue with your project and copyright/privacy laws - considering you are copying data without permission and archiving it - what protocols do you have in place if the owner of a page or site requests the removal of their data? Also does it differ if it is a personal website or if it is a page on a public website, i.e. someone's flicker account?

thanks.
